The Senior Cloud Engineer serves as the technical lead for cloud architecture and automation initiatives across the healthcare system. This role designs and implements scalable, secure, and automated Azure-based environments that support both clinical and enterprise workloads. The Senior Cloud Engineer builds and maintains cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure using Azure and Terraform, ensuring strict compliance with healthcare security and regulatory standards. This role collaborates across teams to enable infrastructure modernization, Epic and third-party application hosting, and hospital operations readiness.

Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Engineering

• Leads the design, deployment, and optimization of Azure cloud environments, including compute, storage, networking, identity, and backup services.
• Architects hybrid connectivity across Azure and on-prem environments using VPN, ExpressRoute, and virtual WAN technologies.
• Implements governance, cost management, and resource consistency across subscriptions using Azure Policies, Blueprints, and Management Groups.
• Designs scalable virtual infrastructure for Epic application integration, third-party healthcare systems, and enterprise services.
• Develops BCDR strategies leveraging Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and Zerto for cloud-based resiliency.
