Responsibilities Work in a float pool serving Med / Surg and Telemetry units across multiple hospital locations within a 60-mile radius Float assignments are centralized with the base as the float zone’s city center and may change on a schedule-by-schedule basis No home unit or facility; floating is required to various settings and may include duties outside the original assignment Patient population includes medical-surgical and telemetry cases Uses Epic EMR and experience is required 12-hour day shifts are scheduled, with three days per week Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams Role requires competency in IV therapy, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection RN will educate patients and families, delegate tasks to non-RN personnel, and act as a professional role model Participation in unit-based quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and ongoing professional development is expected Team-based work environment with precepting and mentoring opportunities Flu vaccination is required during flu season; only medically documented exemptions are accepted Scrub or dress code will be based on specific unit requirements Requirements Active CO or compact RN license required at the time of application; no pending licenses accepted Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be current At least one year of RN experience is preferred Must demonstrate strong Med / Surg and telemetry nursing skills Candidates must live more than 60 miles from all assigned float locations; local candidates are not eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625683.
