The Associate Analyst is a vital role responsible for providing primary support to the field sales staff in the areas of inventory optimization, obsolescence management, and order fulfillment across multiple businesses. This role requires strong partnership with Field Sales to proactively manage inventory.

Responsibilities include the following :

Field Inventory Management Execution

  • Develop strong, mutually beneficial relationships with field staff and internal business unit partners, including sales reps, district managers, commercial / sales ops, and sales finance
  • Proactively partner with field by brainstorming strategies to determine the desired inventory targets; Find creative approaches to drive inventory strategies; communicate inventory level targets and logic based on BU methodology
  • Identify and execute initiatives with the field to proactively reduce slow moving, short-dated, or expired inventory
  • Manage the process of establishing new trunk stock or consignment levels; Recommend adjustments to field inventory levels and / or negotiate par levels
  • Partner with field to streamline co-owned processes and drive consistency across BUs and regions
  • Manage established inventory levels as dictated by business model based on factors such as statistical data, sales input, GSC strategy, and current inventory status
  • Publish summaries of inventory initiatives for respective Districts or Regions on agreed upon cadence. Summary also includes inventory best practices and influences success of inventory programs
  • Use analytical skills to conduct extensive research on par levels and historical account consignment changes which include close partnership with the field.
  • Conduct precise research where accuracy is key to leverage for inventory infraction or incentive programs

Supply Chain Daily Execution

  • Consistently contribute to core team workloads ensuring team service levels are met, not just person regional support service achieved
  • Execute field inventory retrievals in partnership with the field as necessary
  • Execute reporting based on needs of each business
  • Cycle Counts

  • Execute and report on the field cycle count process in accordance with regulatory requirements, Medtronic corporate policies and BU Finance needs, including communication, escalation, research, reconciliation, transactions / adjustments, inquiries, and response to quarterly audits
  • Development

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline work across multiple divisions to promote standardization and increase automation to drive efficiencies and allow for resource flexing
  • Proactively propose ideas for process improvement and take action to drive completion; Participate in initiatives to drive Field Inventory strategy
  • Understand and adhere to FDA Regulations, quality and training requirements, SOPs, and Work Instructionscontinually looking for opportunities to streamline and improve quality
  • Meet deadlines and drive results; proactively communicate and reset expectations when timeline is not achievable
  • Effectively facilitate dialogue to promote and drive action even with unpopular business initiatives
  • Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service or supply chain
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • SAP ERP experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • 1+ years of inventory, supply chain, or asset management knowledge
  • 3+ years proven customer service experience
  • Demonstrated Analytics experience (Excel, Access, Business Objects, Report development)
  • Demonstrated negotiation / influence management skills positively resolving conflict
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally (written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; Highly flexible to changing business needs
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to produce consistent, detail oriented, high-quality work.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions and drive action independently
  • Ability to execute logically, calmly and efficiently in a chaotic and stressful environment
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of supply chain-related regulatory requirements and ability to assess current procedures and resolve gaps
  • Experience working in a regulated environment ideally the medical device industry
  • Ability to proactively drive results
  • Ability to work flexible schedule as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to travel 5-10%

    Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD) : $56,800.00 - $85,200.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification / education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
