Have you ever heard of Glühwein / Mulled Wine, a Christmas Pyramid, or a Schwibbogen?

A traditional German-style Christmas Market is set up at the Seattle Center next to the Space Needle from November – December 2025, but the work starts now! The market will feature traditional European food and merchandise to spread Christmas Cheer in our community and beyond.

The Seattle Christmas Market (SCM) will be entering its third year of operation after a breakout start in 2023. With an expected attendance of over 180,000 guests, our month-long market experience is the first of its kind in Washington State. Supported by the Vancouver Christmas Market (VCM), an established brand that has welcomed over 2.5 million guests since 2010 in Downtown Vancouver, B.C.

FULL-TIME CONTRACT POSITION - EVENT SITE COORDINATOR

The Event Site Coordinator will play a vital role in executing on-site deliverables and ensuring the seamless operation of customer-facing events. This dynamic role involves supporting all departments and taking the lead on event execution. The successful candidate will manage the brand ambassador / mascot team, supervise special events, and assist with event load-in / out and execution of sponsor / partner deliverables.

Schedule and Location

  • Contract Full Time from October 30, 2025 to January 15, 2026.
  • On-site presence during market hours, including evenings and weekends from November to December.
  • The position is evolving, and responsibilities may be added / changed at any time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day execution of on-site events, ensuring a smooth guest experience.
  • Manage and support the brand ambassador and mascot teams, coordinating shifts and activities.
  • Assist with Load-In / Out and ensure timely setup and breakdown of the Market.
  • Coordinate partner and sponsor activations, ensuring all deliverables are met.
  • Support special events, including but not limited to, coordinating entertainment and assisting with crowd management.
  • Provide general event support as needed, ensuring all aspects of the market run smoothly.
  • Be a hands-on, proactive problem solver on-site, addressing any issues that arise during event operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to ensure execution and communications are done to meet standards daily
  • Other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications

  • Passion for outdoor events and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a focus on execution.
  • Ability to lead a team, manage shifts, and support vendor and partner relationships.
  • Comfortable with being on-site in all weather conditions and managing logistics.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Salary : $25 - $29 per hour
