The Digital Solution and Integration portfolio encompasses Upstream business software, digital applications leveraging disruptive technologies, and enterprise integrations. Together, these solutions drive operational efficiency, data consistency, and revenue optimization.

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation & Integration Specialist with proven SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) technical leadership and architecture / design expertise. In this role, you will be hands-on to streamline business processes with innovative solutions, design scalable integration patterns leveraging APIs, cloud services, and deliver automation solutions across SAP and non-SAP systems.

As a core team member of Digital Solutions team, you are expected to be ahead of the curve on emerging technologies and propose new ways of solving complex business problems.

This position is based in our Houston Corporate office, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two (2) days per week, as business needs allow.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify automation opportunities, and ensure process alignment
  • Build and maintain secure, scalable, and composable architecture for automation and applications
  • Develop and manage integrations using SAP BTP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration, API Management, and event-driven architectures
  • Integrate SAP and non-SAP systems using iFlows, REST / OData APIs, and middleware tools
  • Design, build, and optimize automation workflows using BTP with process orchestration, RPA and integration capabilities
  • Leverage low-code / no-code tools and SAP BTP Extension Suite to develop scalable automation and extension applications
  • Create custom scripts in Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript to extend platform functionality
  • Document automation / integration logic, configurations, and support knowledge transfer and maintenance practices
  • Support audit, compliance, and governance initiatives through proactive participation in reviews and adherence to corporate standards
  • Stay current with AI in BTP, Joule, Agentic AI BDC roadmap updates, incorporating innovations into solution designs
  • Apply best practices in architecture, security, and performance, while exploring emerging technologies like Generative AI to solve business problems

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science
  • Minimum 7 years' experience with building applications, integration and automation
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite and Extension Suite (CPI / IS, CAP, RAP, Fiori Elements)
  • Familiarity with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) using Java
  • Experienced with S / 4HANA connectivity using BTP
  • Strong programming / scripting skills in at least one language : Python, PowerShell, JavaScript
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, OData, and application integration techniques
  • Experience with incorporating GenAI components in applications and software lifecycle
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
  • The individual is required to follow all applicable safety precautions. Work is performed almost entirely in a controlled (i.e., inside) environment and does not typically subject the incumbent to any hazardous / extreme elements; some positions may require regularly moving or transporting items weighing up to 25 lbs. around the office for various needs.
