An Emergency Medicine Physician is needed for a critical access hospital, providing single physician coverage for the emergency department. The role requires flexibility to cover 6 shifts per month, with a focus on stabilizing procedures and collaboration with nursing staff. New locums will undergo a comprehensive orientation, and there are opportunities for cross-credentialing at multiple locations within the healthcare system.

This is a full time and ongoing need starting early Sept. For any new locum the first day will be a full orientation day M-F right before the first scheduled shift.

Single physician coverage. Need 6 shifts / month covered. Shift times are 24 hours, 8a-8a.

We'll want a provider with flexibility to cover 1 FTE. Temp privileges will be available for someone with a clean file. Can cross credential / privilege at other locations in the system if interest.

Critical access hospital and the only hospital in the county.

Stabilizing procedures for patients presenting to an ED

Rooms : 7 UC / ED treatment rooms, 1 Behavioral Health isolation room, and up to 12 rooms if needed.

Staff support : 2 RN's on at all times

Single MD coverage

Services- X-Ray and CT 24 / 7, MRI M-F 8a-4p.

Inpatient Hospital beds : 11

2 OR s, 1 procedure room

Clinic Services onsite :

Oncology, cardiology and endocrinology services, more specialties will eventually be added in Ladysmith including ENT, OBGYN, sleep studies and an optical shop.
