We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Dentist to join the Dental team located in Marana, Arizona. As a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), our mission is to provide exceptional, whole-person healthcare. This role is crucial for providing comprehensive dental care to infants, children, and adolescents, including those with special health care needs.
Requirements to Apply :
- Education : D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from an accredited dental school
- Training : Completed an accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency program
- Licensure : Current Arizona State DDS / DMD License
- Registration : Current DEA registration and registration in the Arizona State Board of Pharmacys Controlled Substances Prescription Drug Monitor program, required
- Certification : Current CPR / BLS and PALS certification, required
- Clearance : Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (must be verified as valid prior to start date)
Preferred Qualifications :
Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Dentistry preferredExperience with the State Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) system, AHCCCS Complete Care (ACC) health plans, and community resourcesBilingual (English / Spanish)Experience supervising staff or equivalent demonstrated leadership experience, such as mentoring, training, or coordinating teamsEquivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.What You'll Do :
The Pediatric Dentist will provide clinical care and contribute to the leadership of the dental team :Clinical Care and Patient Management :Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care, including exams, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and extractions.Diagnose and treat dental issues; educate patients and guardians on oral hygiene and preventive care.Assess patient health by taking histories and performing visual examinations and diagnostic tests.Perform therapeutic procedures, including administering injections, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.Perform treatment under sedation or general anesthesia when necessary (if credentialed).Document patient care services by charting records and writing notes within 72 hours.Leadership and Compliance :
Aide the Dental Director in the clinical supervision of staff and help in monitoring, orienting, and assisting dental residents.Develop the dental care team through providing educational and growth opportunities.Serve on committees (compliance, quality assurance) and perform peer reviews.Comply with all federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.Benefits :
