Job Title : Aerodynamics Development Engineer (INDYCAR)

Location : Indianapolis, IN

Position Type : Full-Time

Overview :

The Aerodynamics Development Engineer will be dedicated to the Andretti INDYCAR team and contribute towards improving the aerodynamic performance of the cars, working closely with engineers from other departments to deliver race-winning performance.

In this role, you will :

• Participate in full-scale wind tunnel testing, including preparation, test execution, and data analysis.
• Process and interpret aerodynamic and on-board data to make data-driven recommendations for on-track performance improvements.
• Utilize CAD tools (Siemens NX preferred) to develop both prototype parts for testing and production-ready parts for use on track.
• Collaborate with development, race engineering, and simulation groups to integrate wind tunnel findings into race setups and overall car performance.
• Support race car assembly, verifying compliance with build documents & IndyCar technical regulations.
• Properly document wind tunnel testing results & analysis.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and testing methodologies.
• Occasional travel to support offsite wind tunnel testing, race, or test events.
