Responsibilities Position is in the ICU of an acute care hospital Day shifts, 3x12 hours, from 6 : 45 to 19 : 15 Assignment is 13 weeks in duration Nurse to patient ratios are 1 : 2 Floating may be required to IMCU or other ICU settings at the main hospital or affiliate hospital Must work every third weekend and every other holiday EPIC is the charting system used for documentation No on-call responsibilities Responsibilities include critical care interventions, assisting with advanced procedures, and managing complex patient needs Hospital is Magnet recognized and has 222 staffed beds Scrub color requirement is navy Pre-employment fit testing required; facial hair must allow for proper fit No RTO allowed during the first week of assignment; maximum of 7 days RTO for the 13-week contract Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler Travelers can remain up to 18 months but must take a three-month break after 18 months Parking is provided at no cost Requirements Active IL RN license required at the time of consideration Minimum of 2 years recent ICU nursing experience required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Experience with EPIC documentation system preferred Experience assisting with line insertion, intubation, hypothermia protocols, CRRT / CVVHD, and IABP required No pending licenses accepted for Illinois; license must be in hand Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621154.
