Job Purpose\n\nJVM Solutions is hiring Registered Nurse Case Manager to provide professional case management services for military service members at Joint Base San Antonio - Randolph. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on service member lives by ensuring they receive effective care, achieve prompt recovery, and successfully return to duty or transition to appropriate support systems.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n
- Provide comprehensive case management for military service members in accordance with Case Management Society of America (CMSA) Standards of Practice and Defense Health Agency guidelines, exercising independent professional judgment\n
- Serve as the primary advocate and coordinator for service members by continuously engaging with them, their military units, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to coordinate medical care, treatment plans, appointments, and support services\n
- Conduct thorough case analysis and develop evidence-based recommendations to ensure service members receive timely, appropriate care that supports prompt recovery and Return to Duty (RTD) or entry into the Disability Evaluation System (DES) when appropriate\n
- Utilize multiple military healthcare information systems including MHS-Genesis, MEDCHART, Electronic Case Tracking (ECT), and other specialized platforms to access medical records, track case progress, and coordinate authorizations (comprehensive training support available)\n
- Provide expert guidance on medical policies and military personnel programs including medical conditions, separations, retirements, assignments, benefits, and entitlements to support informed decision-making\n
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, military treatment facility staff, unit commanders, and certification authorities to ensure coordinated, high-quality care delivery\n
- Maintain quality standards and performance metrics through systematic case documentation, monthly reporting, and adherence to established quality control procedures\n
- Complete required professional training including agency-specific certifications and ongoing continuing education to maintain clinical currency and case management expertise\n
- Foster positive working relationships with all stakeholders using professionalism, tact, and diplomacy while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality standards\n\nQualifications\n
- Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)\n
- Associates Degree of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing\n
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas\n
- NCLEX-RN exam accomplished\n\nCertification (must possess ONE of the following) : \n
- Commission for Case Manager Certification : Certified Case Manager (CCM)\n
- Certification of Disability Management Specialists Commission : Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS)\n
- Association of Rehabilitation Nurses : Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN)\n
- American Board for Occupational Health Nurses : Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist (COHN-S)\n
- National Board for Certification in Continuity of Care : Advanced Certification in Continuity of Care (ACCC)\n
- Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification : Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC)\n
- American Nurses Credentialing Center : Nurse Case Manager (RN-NCM)\n
- National Academy of Certified Care Managers : Care Manager Certified (CMC)\n\nAdditional Certifications : \n
- Basic Life Support (BLS)\n\nExperience : \n
- One year of experience in nursing after graduation\n
- One year of experience as a Registered Nurse Case Manager\n
- Prior work experience in occupational health and / or adult primary care (i.e., family medicine, flight medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or similar)\n
- Knowledge of military structure, systems, protocol, and military personnel programs (e.g., separations, retirements, assignments, benefits and entitlements)\n\nOther Requirements\n
- Must be a U.S. Citizen\n
- Must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA)\n
