Description
Retail Operations Associate The Retail Operations Associate will support the management of the retail partnerships pipeline, ensuring the smooth onboarding and successful scaling of new merchants on the platform. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams across operations, product, catalog management, growth, and marketing, as well as directly with merchants, to define launch strategies and confirm that stores are configured correctly at launch. This individual will design and implement scalable solutions that accelerate onboarding and reduce time-to-launch while maintaining a high standard of quality. Following a national launch, the Retail Operations Associate will monitor merchant performance during the initial 90 days, tracking key metrics, troubleshooting issues, and identifying opportunities to drive stronger results. Insights and recommendations will be shared with leadership to influence outcomes across the broader retail business. The role requires proactive problem-solving to address operational challenges for new and existing merchants, as well as management of incremental launches. This individual will develop expertise in merchant performance metrics to evaluate health and impact, collaborating with operations teams to resolve issues that reduce cancellations and increase volume. In partnership with growth and marketing teams, the associate will also support initiatives that drive growth and improve merchant visibility, ensuring long-term success on the platform. Day-today : How will success be measured? Success will be measured by the Associate's ability to enable smooth, high-quality launches of new retail merchants on the platform and ensure strong early performance post-launch. The role's impact will be reflected in operational efficiency, launch timeliness, and the stability and growth of merchant performance during the first 90 days after launch What metrics / goals will define success? Key metrics may include : Launch execution : % of merchants launched on schedule and with complete, accurate configurations Operational quality : Reduction in order cancellations, catalog or configuration errors, and other launch-related defects Merchant performance : Growth in order volume, GMV, and retention within the first 90 days post-launch Efficiency & scalability : Reduction in average time-to-launch and successful implementation of standardized processes or playbooks What projects / initiatives will they be responsible for? The Associate will : Manage the retail merchant launch pipeline, coordinating cross-functionally to ensure timely and high-quality onboarding Develop and execute scalable solutions that streamline onboarding and reduce time-to-platform Monitor early performance of newly launched merchants, troubleshoot operational challenges, and implement improvements Collaborate with growth and marketing teams to enhance merchant visibility and drive order volume Partner with operations and product stakeholders to reduce cancellations and strengthen post-launch performance
