Responsibilities Work in the ICU unit of a 32-bed acute care facility with up to 6 ICU beds Nurse to patient ratio is 1 : 2 in the ICU Utilizes ventilators, arterial lines, non-invasive ventilation, Hi Flo, and Airvo equipment 12-hour night shifts with typical hours of 1845-0715 or 0645-1915 Candidate will be one of two ICU RNs on shift No floating to other units or departments is required Performs comprehensive patient assessments and delivers critical care interventions Provides education to patients and their families based on care needs Coordinates care and communicates effectively within the interdisciplinary team Documentation must adhere to facility procedures Orientation includes 4 hours general training plus shadowing and one on-unit shift before independent practice Pewter Grey scrubs are required Must be available for 12 / 24-12 / 25 holiday coverage and one extra shift every 6 weeks Traveler-friendly environment Local candidates are not accepted; must live more than 50 miles from the facility Requirements Active NE or compact RN license required Graduate of an accredited nursing program Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required Current BLS (AHA / ARC), ACLS (AHA / ARC), and PALS (AHA) certifications required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626992.
