Job Summary
Reno Machine Company and its subsidiary TM Industries, located at 134 Commerce Street in East Berlin, CT, are looking for skilled candidates. Reno Machine Company and TM Industries are CNC-based manufacturing facilities that focus on large-format machining for aerospace, defense, power generation and research development projects.

As a quality manager, you will devise and safeguard quality standards while overseeing processes that directly affect the products’ overall integrity. You will create and implement quality policies and regulations, analyze data, inspect, and test products and document the resolved issues. This position is excellent for anyone who is thorough, observant, has an eye for detail, and has a positive team-oriented attitude.

Duties
\n \n
- Knowledgeable in performing first piece, in process, final inspection, calibration of measuring instruments and CMM operation.
\n
Supervise and guide inspectors, technicians, and other staff.\n
Works with staff and customers, legal and safety authorities to improve quality, efficiency, and profitability.\n
Monitor all operations that affect quality.\n
Setting requirements for raw material or intermediate products for supplies and monitoring their compliance.\n
Inspect final product to make sure it has been built in compliance with legal standards to meet customers’ expectations.\n
Assure the reliability and consistency of production.\n
Use online portal or customer database.\n
Interpret and apply AS / ISO standards.\n
Manage the Quality department and its employees.\n
Interface with both internal and external customers to address any quality issues.\n
Maintain highest standards while meeting the company cost & scheduling requirements.\n
Continual evaluation of policies & procedures to develop improvements to the system.\n
Control & maintain the calibration system.\n
Perform & maintain internal / external audits.\n
Perform other duties as assigned by the director of quality.\n \n
Experience
\n \n
5 years minimum experience in a quality management function.\n
1-3 years supervisory experience.\n
Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards.\n
Experience with AS 9100 required.\n
Must pass eye exam to Jaegar 1 with color.\n
Outstanding communication skills.\n
Computer fundamentals required.\n
Previous DSQR background required.\n
Excellent written and oral communication skills.\n
Flexible to work long hours as required to meet deadlines.\n \n
