Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with current ARRT R or CCI RCIS certification, BLS, and ACLS, for a 13-week assignment in a high-acuity cardiac catheterization environment.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital-based cardiac catheterization labDay shifts : 3x12 hours, 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PMOn-call required : eight weeknights and four 24-hour weekends within each six-week periodCandidates will float within the hospital as needed, within their clinical scopePatient population consists primarily of adult and geriatric cardiac patientsScrubs are provided by the facilityMain responsibilities include performing cardiac catheterization procedures and supporting the cath lab team during interventionsMost units require the CPI Calm Every Storm online certification as part of complianceTravelers must complete required lab work within 72 hours of signing contractRTO must be requested during initial consideration and cannot be changed after acceptanceBlock or restricted schedules cannot be requested; schedule accommodations are not guaranteedReturn travelers must have a break of at least 6 months before returning to the systemFormer staff must have a break of 12 months before returning as a travelerMost contracts allow for one extension before a 6-month break from the facility is requiredHoliday coverage is expected; typically one major holiday off per contract may be allowedRequirements
Active MD or Compact state license at time of consideration (license required if applicable)Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)ARRT R or CCI RCIS certification requiredMinimum of 2 professional references needed : 1 supervisor / manager and 1 charge RN is acceptableMust be able to float to units within clinical competencyPermanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facilityMust complete compliance documents 5 days prior to startComfortable with on-call scheduling as specifiedBenefits
