Shipping Supervisor

GEODynamics in Millsap, TX is looking for qualified candidates for Shipping Supervisor. Our campus is on the frontage road of Interstate 20 near Millsap, TX. Located west of Fort Worth, it is an easy commute from surrounding communities of Weatherford, Stephenville, Mineral Wells and Aledo.

Key Accountabilities

Accomplishes shipping employee objectives by orienting, training, assigning, and coaching employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.

Supervises Shipping personnel to safely and accurately meet the logistics needs of our internal and external customers.

Manages explosive inventory records to include the centralized ERP system records and ATF magazine records.

Ensures that all outbound material is shipped accurately, with proper paperwork, to include Bill of Lading, Packing List, Hazardous Materials Declarations (if applicable), and proper Customs paperwork (if applicable)

Ensure that inbound explosive material is received properly, stored properly, and accounted for properly

Supply any necessary SML electronic files for EU shipments using company software and TTS database

Knowledge and ability to prepare international shipping documents

Support other departments within Supply Chain as needed

Leads the practices of safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and GEO-specific Health and Safety

Qualifications, Experience, Skills / Knowledge

High School Diploma or Equivalency

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

4 - 6 years of experience in a manufacturing & logistics environment

Extensive applicable regulatory knowledge to include DOT, ATF, and FAA

Some experience supervising people in warehouse operations

Demonstrated knowledge related to shipping hazardous materials

Basic to Intermediate computer skills (MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook)

Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations

Ability to interface with personnel across all levels of the business

Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, fumes, and gases

Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
