Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Certified Peer Counselor to join our Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) team in Tacoma, WA.

Scope :

A Certified Peer Counselor provides interventions through the use of shared experiences to assist clients in the acquisition and exercise of skills needed to support the client's recovery. Interventions may include activities that assist clients in accessing or engaging in treatment and in symptom management; promote social connection, recovery, and self-advocacy; provide guidance in the development of natural community supports and basic daily living skills; and support clients in engagement, motivation, and maintenance related to achieving and maintaining health and wellness goals.

The Program for Assertive Community Treatment provides outreach and long-term intensive case management to consumers with severe, persistent mental illness. Provides targeted skills training in the areas of community living. Referrals come from community mental health providers and emergency services. Serves as a member of the organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs. Substance use knowledge is a plus.

PACT :

• PACT Peers attend University of Washington fidelity-based training requirements monthly.
• Share in the rotation of the off-hours crisis phone to support clients (compensation provided, approximately every 8 weeks).
• PACT staff must meet our driving standards and carry personal driving insurance. You must have the ability to transport clients as needed. A generous mileage stipend is provided.
