Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg float pool position requiring night shifts, OH or compact RN license, and at least two years of Med / Surg experience.

Responsibilities Work in the Med / Surg units of a hospital setting as part of the float pool

Patient population includes adults requiring medical and surgical care

Patient ratios are typically 1 : 4-5

Must float to equivalent or lower acuity units as needed

Schedule is three 12-hour night shifts per week (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM), with weekend and holiday coverage expected

EPIC is used for electronic health records

Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care and monitoring in a hospital Med / Surg environment

Must quickly complete Ohio state fingerprinting requirements upon contract acceptance

Both local and travel candidates are accepted at the same rate

Former employees are eligible if they have been separated from the facility for at least six months

All requests for time off must be submitted with the initial application

Dress code and scrub color requirements will be provided upon assignment

Requirements Current OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration

Minimum two years of Med / Surg RN experience required

BCLS certification required

Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring required

Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

Two professional references required, including one from a managerial or supervisory role
