Founding Engineer

Full-time | On-site | San Francisco, CA

Compensation : $140K – $225K + 0.5%–2.4% Equity

About the Role

We’re looking for a Founding Engineer to join a small, ambitious team building the future of AI in the enterprise. You’ll work directly with the CEO and founding team to ship features fast, talk to users, and shape both the product and company culture.

This role is backend-heavy (70%) with frontend responsibilities (30%), and you’ll need to be comfortable moving between Python / TypeScript backend systems and frontend frameworks to deliver complete features. If you’re excited about building real-world AI products (not just prototypes), experimenting quickly, and owning large parts of a complex system, this role is for you.

Tech stack : React, Node.js, TypeScript, Python, AWS, LLMs (OpenAI API, LangChain, HuggingFace), Next.js, Prisma, Drizzle

What You’ll Do

  • Own large parts of a next-gen AI employee platform (backend pipelines, agent integrations, and frontend features)
  • Ship features end-to-end with speed and accountability
  • Work closely with customers to turn feedback into product improvements
  • Help with infrastructure scaling across cloud and on-premise environments
  • Contribute to the culture, standards, and foundation of the engineering team

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience with backend systems (Python / TypeScript) and comfort working across the stack
  • Ability to move quickly, iterate fast, and ship in a high-agency environment
  • Passion for building user-driven AI products (beyond research prototypes)
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and modern web frameworks
  • Excitement about AI agent systems, pipelines, and enterprise deployments
