California Licensed Controller

A company is looking for a Controller, Accounting & Finance.

Key Responsibilities

Direct operations of the Accounting and General Ledger / Reporting department, ensuring proper segregation of duties and access controls

Hire, train, and manage accounting staff while ensuring adherence to policies and performance expectations

Supervise the preparation of financial reports and analyses, and monitor the University's financial health, providing recommendations to the Chief Finance Officer

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

A Master's Degree and CPA license are preferred

A minimum of two years of Controller level experience, preferably in Higher Education

A minimum of five years of high-volume accounting experience at a Controller level, including budgeting and audits

Experience managing and motivating multiple teams
