PRIMARY PURPOSE :
- Responsible for supporting the Executive Director of Human Resources in managing the district's human resources functions. Supports strategic planning and implementation of HR programs, including staffing, leave administration, risk management, performance appraisal, and employee relations. Develops and implements legally compliant HR policies and practices.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum Education / Certification :
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, education, or related fieldMaster's degree preferredSpecial Knowledge / Skills :
Knowledge of personnel selection, training, supervision, wage and benefits administration, employment law, leave policies, and risk managementProficiency in software for data analysis, word processing, and HR technology platformsAbility to manage budgets and personnelExcellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills; capable of presenting to diverse groupsExperience :
Minimum of 2 years in HR management or public-school administrationMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
Human Resources Program Management :
Assist in developing policies and proceduresSupport day-to-day HR operations including staffing, compensation, leave, and employee relationsEnsure compliance with applicable laws and regulationsEmployment :
Support staffing needs forecasting, recruitment, and retention strategiesReview credentials and manage HR systems for employee dataOversee employee onboarding, orientation, and contract administrationCompensation and Benefits :
Assist in salary planning, benefits administration, and communication of pay and benefits to employeesEmployee Relations :
Address employee issues, support grievance procedures, and promote positive employee relationsRecords :
Maintain HR records in compliance with legal requirementsOther :
Prepare and deliver HR-related presentations, stay updated on HR best practices and legal requirements, and ensure safety protocols are followedSupervisory Responsibilities :
