Phy & Chem Lab Engineer

Job Summary

This position is responsible for monitoring, performing, and reporting the results of laboratory tests on raw materials, semi-finished components, and finished products to ensure quality and conformity to standards.

Essential Duties & Functions

• Develops methods and written procedures for performing laboratory tests required for material acceptance and release.
• Evaluates laboratory test results and issues test reports.
• Provides training to lab technicians and oversees the lab test operations.
• Maintains laboratory and instruments in working order and verifies accuracy and precision of measurements through calibration and cross-lab check programs.
• Works with R&D and Process Engineering to conduct trials and experiments to develop / test new products and processes.
• Participates in cross functional teams to evaluate and audit existing and new suppliers' credentials and compliance.
• Complies with policies, documents, procedures, and work instructions of the company and performs his tasks in a safe manner
• Perform other duties of equal or less complexity as assigned or directed by management
• Engage and retain high-performance standards and elevate level of responsibility and performance
