About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Burn Intensive Care Unit

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Evening / Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience :

Two years of acute care experience within the last three years is required.

ICU experience is required.

No burn experience is necessary.

Telemetry experience is required within the past 12 months.

License :

Must possess a valid nursing license or compact license from the state of permanent residence.

Certifications :

BLS and ACLS certifications must be current and from an accredited organization.

Telemetry competency is required.

Must-Have :

Basic Arrhythmia experience is required.

Travelers may be assigned shifts in multiple units based on staffing needs.

Description :

Provide care to a diverse population of critical care and burn patients.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in developing and executing care plans.

Be part of a newly built critical care unit.

Contribute to an ACS-Verified Burn Center and Level One Trauma Center.

Working conditions may require weekend and holiday shifts.

Comfortable managing ventilated patients and performing central line care.

Assist in various procedures such as chest tube insertion and blood product administration.

Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions is essential.

Demonstrate skills in interpreting arterial blood gases and managing dysrhythmias.

Travelers will undergo rigorous pass / fail testing in telemetry interpretation.

Strict passing criteria apply for exams related to adult and pediatric cardiac rhythms.

Travelers must have an active telemetry competency on file.
