• Experience in passing medications
• Supervisory skills
• Previous nursing home experience is a plus
• Self-motivated

Description :

This position involves working in a nursing home setting.

The facility is equipped to provide care for residents with various diagnoses, including COPD, dementia, Parkinson’s, MS, and CHF.

The nurse will be responsible for medication administration, wound care, Foley care, and ostomy care.

Supervision of CNAs / TMAs is also a key responsibility of this role.

The nurse will not have clinical involvement such as reading strips or managing IVs and titratable drips.

A medication dispensing system is in place using blister pack cards.

Pharmacy services are available onsite.

Staffing ratios for day and evening shifts are one nurse to two to three CNAs for every 20 residents.

The night shift ratio is one nurse to two to three CNAs for 40 residents.

Block scheduling is available based on operational needs.

Weekend and holiday requirements include working every other weekend and every other holiday.

There are no floating requirements.

Scrubs will be provided.

The charting system utilized is Point Click Care.
