Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Data Engineer (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to :

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data automation pipeline to provide actionable insights.
• Analyze input Data elements across multiple sources and build Data lineage for the Asset Management System.
• Work on emerging technologies, building highly scalable, secure, reliable and fault tolerant distributed systems.
• Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate.
• Provide third-level support to business users.
• Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms. Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.
• Find opportunities to create, design and implement internal process improvements : automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.
• Position reports to the Foster City, California office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership / site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements : This position does not require travel.

Mental / Physical Requirements : This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY : The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $129,400.00 to $200,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
