Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol - Part Time

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol - Part Time in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic tech-driven environment. Your presence and attention will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service to those on site. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to situations with professionalism and care. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $22.75 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Tue 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

Wed 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or potential threats.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, reporting any concerns according to company and client protocols.
  • Assist visitors and personnel by answering questions and providing directions as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents and / or irregularities to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
