About The Position

Job Title : Sterile Processing Tech Profession : Surgical Services Specialty : Sterile Processing Tech Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Mid Hours per Shift : 8 Experience : Minimum 2 Years License : Required Certifications : CBSPD, CSPDT (Either CRCST or CSPDT) Must-Have : - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience in an acute hospital setting preferred - Experience with charting systems preferred Description : The Sterile Processing Tech will work the mid shift from 3 PM to 11 : 30 PM. The role involves processing surgical instruments and equipment to ensure they are sterile and safe for use in the operating room. Responsibilities include the use of automated endoscope reprocessors, chemical agents for decontamination, and performing high-level disinfection. The tech will engage in manual cleaning, proper labeling, and the assembly of instrument trays. Familiarity with sterilization procedures and the proper selection of wrapping materials is required. Experience with various scopes including bronchoscopes, colonoscopes, and cystoscopes is beneficial. The tech will also be involved in equipment documentation and use of washers and sterilizers. Understanding aseptic technique and the ability to follow proper sterilization testing and monitoring procedures is essential. This position may require occasional weekend shifts and being on call. Locals within a 50-mile radius are not accepted for this position. Only those with the required state license will be considered for the role.
