About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : RN

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour Nights

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : 1 year of recent experience

License : Active RN license in SD or compact state

Certifications : Active BLS - American Heart Association

Must-Have :

Willingness to float to any Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit as requested within scope of practice.

Ability to coordinate and manage care for patients with complex needs.

Effective communication skills to engage patients and families.

Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with healthcare team members.

Description :

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to patients.

The RN collaborates with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care.

Competency is demonstrated while practicing within the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge.

The RN cares for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.

Responsibilities include planning and coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various nursing interventions.

The RN functions within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice.

This position recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses.

The RN adheres to legal regulations and organizational policies when discussing patient health information.

Effective delegation and supervision based on the state practice act are required.

Age-related patient assessments and nursing interventions are performed by the RN.

The RN is responsible for promoting a safe environment for patients, families, staff, residents, and visitors.

Collaboration with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team is essential to achieve the best outcomes for patients.

Staffing ratios are typically 1 : 4-5 on days and 1 : 5-6 on nights.

Dress code requires navy blue scrubs.

The RN must be willing to work every other weekend and holiday.
