Adjunct – School of Legal Studies (On Campus Applicant Pool)

Description

Husson’s College of Business is seeking to compile a pool of qualified candidates interested in future part-time teaching opportunities in criminal justice. Such opportunities are dependent upon the needs of the University. Assignments may require teaching day or evening classes as needed.

The College of Business is seeking adjunct faculty to teach the following courses

Introduction to Justice and Public SafetyCriminal Procedure

Police Operations

Management and Criminal Justice

Corrections

Juvenile Justice.

• Specific courses may change depending upon the needs of the University

Note : This position is for face-to-face instruction; instructors are expected to be on campus.

Examples of Duties

Typical Qualifications

Education : An earned Master’s Degree in criminal justice or a related field is required; Ph.D. preferred.

Experience : Successful teaching experience at the college level preferred. Demonstrated dedication to improving classroom teaching, exploring new methods, and adapting to student needs. Demonstrated ability to work well as a part of a team.

Undergraduate Course :

Masters Prepared $933.33 maximum per credit hour

Undergraduate Course :

Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour

Graduate Course

Masters Level Prepared $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour

Graduate Course

Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,100.00 maximum per credit hour
