Responsibilities Work in a float pool within an acute care hospital setting Will float between ICU, ED, and potentially to a sister facility within 15 minutes Patient ratios are 1 : 2 in assigned units Procedures include para / thoracentesis, intubation, central line and art line placement, dysrhythmia management, and ventilated patient care Uses MediTech Expanse charting system Night shift schedule : three 12-hour shifts per week (18 : 00-06 : 00) Every other weekend required No on-call requirement May respond to rapid response calls as part of a multidisciplinary team First-time travelers with adequate relevant experience will be considered Candidates are required to provide documentation of required certifications and two supervisor references from the last 18 months Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) Scrub color is based on employee preference Local candidates are accepted Only one time-off request allowed, with restrictions against RTO within the first two weeks and no full calendar weeks off Requirements Active CO or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of ICU and ED RN experience required Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, and PALS; NIHSS and TNCC preferred Must be proficient in managing ventilated patients and performing specialized procedures listed Experience using MediTech Expanse, Paragon, or Practice Partner preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620257.
