Responsibilities Work in a busy Labor & Delivery unit within a level 4 maternity center Unit includes 16 L&D beds, 6 antepartum rooms, 5 triage rooms, and 2 operating rooms Handles high-acuity cases including inductions, low-intervention deliveries, PPROM, cerclage procedures, fetal demises, insulin and heparin drips, and placenta accreta or previa Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1 : 2 to 1 : 3 Night shift position (3x12 hours), 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM Floating required within maternal / child units and as a Patient Observer (sitter) throughout the facility Cerner EMR used; prior Cerner experience is preferred Care for high-acuity L&D cases and provide specialized obstetric interventions 24 / 7 supervisor support available for staff Required to work 50% of holidays and weekends during the contract Modules and orientation are completed upon hire and annually as required for the specialty Locals within a 75-mile radius are eligible at a reduced rate Team-oriented environment with support across maternal and child services Requirements Active MO or Compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in Labor & Delivery required BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required AWOHNN certification preferred Strong preference for experience in hospital settings with over 100 deliveries per month Must provide two professional references from a charge nurse or higher Ability to float within maternal / child and related units Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-609368.
