We are a multi-discipline technical resource for our clients to fill in where they need help with skills and technologies not available on their staff.
The applicant should have a strong engineering background with good understanding of mechanical and electrical fundamentals. The ideal applicant will be a generalist with a solid understanding of physics and dynamics. As an intermediary between multiple departments, the applicant should be able to transition between engineering development and customer interaction. Experience in rapid prototyping of electro-mechanical systems from concepts to functional prototypes is a plus.
The applicant will see designs come to life and be part of every step along the product development arc as well as support legacy products. Requirements
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education and experience
- Must be a U.S. Person
- Minimum five (5) years of Mechanical, Electrical, or Project Engineering including design experience
- Experience working in Aerospace, Automotive, or Medical manufacturing industries
- Experience working in New Product Development engineering teams
- Leadership capabilities to work through the development process of creating and communicating requirements, developing verification plans, and authoring test procedures and verification analyses
- Project management and execution, including planning, organizing tasks, and effectively managing budget and schedule
- Ability to assemble complex electro-mechanical devices, on system testing, development, troubleshooting, debugging, and critical thinking skills
- Experience with a wide range of technologies and projects
- Development of complex systems with interaction across multiple engineering disciplines
- Reading and interpreting engineering specifications
- Solid understanding of physics and fundamental control theory / techniques
- Engineering support of component manufacturing and build activities
- Technical input into system level and sub-system trades
- System design, analysis, and optimization
- Generate technical drawings of systems, components, and interfaces
- Analysis and interpretation of test data
- Advanced knowledge / skills in CAD modeling using a major software package (e.g., SolidWorks, ProE, UG-NX, or CATIA V5)
- Generating schematics, supporting printed circuit board layouts, building / testing first articles, and providing documentation for production release
- Writing effective work instructions
- Experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Experience using MS Office tools
- Experience with rapid prototyping techniques and materials
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Reporting and presenting results and recommendations to internal and external teams
- Training and instructing technicians and assemblers
- Enjoy working in a startup type of engineering environment
- Strong ability to handle concurrent fast-paced projects with minimal direction

Base Salary Range : $125,000 - $145,000 dependent on experience, knowledge, and interview performance.
