• And much more\n\nThe Registered Nurse, Emergency Room provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.\n\nPerforms plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.\n\nDocuments patient care given.\n\nMonitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.\n\nAssists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.\n\nCollaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual / psychosocial support needs.\n\nWorks as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.\n\nWorks with patients' families to help improve the patient's abilities and help them deal with family member's illness.\n\nRequired Skills\n\nCritical thinking skills\n\nDecisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.\n\nCapable of working in a stressful environment and taking appropriate action.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nEducation : \n\nAssociate's Degree required\n\nBachelor's Degree preferred\n\nCertifications : \n\nBasic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire\n\nAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire\n\nPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of hire\n\nHandle With Care (HWC) within 6 months of hire\n\nLicenses : \n\nRegistered Nurse licensed to work in the State of Kentucky.\nNew Graduates may work under a KY provisional license for up to 6 months with the expectation that an RN license will be obtained within the first 6 months of employment.
