WorkSolved Staffing is seeking a Skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality precision parts and instruments. The CNC Machinist will interpret technical drawings, set up the machines, and ensure the proper functioning of equipment. Attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a strong understanding of machining techniques are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand requirements.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines such as mills and lathes to perform machining operations.
  • Load raw materials into the machine, adjust machine settings, and monitor the production process.
  • Inspect machined parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and tooling to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues with machines and make repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize production processes and improve product quality.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skill Set Required :

  • Experience with Large Bridge or Gantry Mill : Proficiency in operating and setting up large-scale CNC milling machines such as bridge or gantry mills, capable of handling oversized workpieces with precision.
  • Familiarity with Siemens 840 D sl Controller : Competence in utilizing Siemens 840 D sl Controller for CNC machine operations, including programming, setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in Handling Large Weldments and Castings : Ability to work with large weldments and castings, including loading, securing, and machining them to required specifications.
  • Knowledge of Various Cutting Tool Types and Programming : Familiarity with a wide range of cutting tools used in CNC machining and programming techniques to optimize tool paths for efficient and precise machining operations.
  • Proficiency in Manual and MDI Programming : Capability to write, edit, and execute manual and MDI (Manual Data Input) programs to control CNC machines, ensuring accurate machining processes.
  • Pendant Crane Operation and Rigging : Experience and skill in operating pendant cranes for material handling and rigging tasks, including safely lifting and positioning heavy workpieces and equipment.
  • Ability to Work Independently or as a Team Member : Demonstrated capability to work autonomously, managing tasks efficiently and effectively, as well as collaborating with team members to achieve shared goals and objectives.

    • Education and Experience :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational training or certification in machining or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role.

  • $22 - $26 per hour based on experience and shift
