Job Title : Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift

Position Type : Travel Nursing

Healthcare Setting : Med / Surg Unit

Start Date : October 27, 2025

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (3 shifts / week, 36 hours / week)

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1740 - $1860

On-Site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required for all nursing jobs)

BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)

ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)

Minimum of 2 years recent bedside clinical experience in Med / Surg or acute care

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and develop individualized care plans

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)

Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees

Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record

Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare team conferences and patient rehabilitation programs

Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission

Promote patient and employee safety by following hospital safety policies and procedures

Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team and seek consultation as needed

Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in unit team-building activities

Maintain professional growth through continuing education and self-study
