Our client, a leading food manufacturing company, seeks an accomplished Senior Director of Procurement to lead strategic sourcing and procurement operations across North America. This senior leadership role will direct enterprise-wide procurement functions while coordinating sourcing activities throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Based at the organization's Pennsauken, NJ headquarters, this individual will lead a diverse procurement team and drive strategic sourcing initiatives across food commodities, direct materials, and indirect categories. The role requires strong partnership with cross-functional teams including Planning and Finance to deliver exceptional P&L results while advancing supplier performance, sustainability objectives, and innovation programs.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Create raw materials coverage strategies to mitigate commodity market volatility effects
  • Execute category spend alignment and cost optimization programs
  • Establish and deploy unified procurement strategy across North America, harmonizing regional requirements with corporate goals
  • Direct strategic sourcing approaches including supplier segmentation, performance enhancement plans, and ethical sourcing practices
  • Champion operational excellence and digital / AI productivity programs
  • Maintain compliance with ESG initiatives and supplier diversity mandates
  • Orchestrate development and implementation of regional category strategies spanning US, Canada, and Mexico
  • Oversee supplier partnerships, contract negotiations, and comprehensive lifecycle management

Requirements

Required :

  • Expertise in commodity hedging, coverage, and futures markets
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, food science, or related discipline
  • 10+ years relevant experience including 7+ years in procurement leadership roles
  • SAP or comparable ERP system expertise
  • Superior analytical, communication, and influence capabilities
  • Documented success managing global expenditures of $100M+
  • Comprehensive food procurement background with internationally traded commodities (sugar, flour, cocoa, dairy)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in developing and mentoring procurement organizations
  • Experience overseeing both commodity and non-commodity portfolios
  • Desired :

  • Compensation Package :

  • Base salary range : $180,100 - $220,000 (commensurate with qualifications and geography)
