Summary

This position is responsible for the timely abstraction and coding of professional surgical services based on provider documentation, ensuring compliance with Tulane University Medical Group Guidelines. Responsibilities include providing ongoing education to physicians and their staff regarding billing functions, regulations, and documentation issues. The ideal candidate must work independently, demonstrate leadership qualities, communicate clearly and professionally, act as a liaison among providers, administrators (DBON), and coding staff, and respond promptly and accurately to inquiries.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Five years of clinical experience
• CPC Certification
