Position overview : An entry-level Civil Engineer to join the Civil / Environmental Team in Evansville, IN. The selected candidate will assist with the planning, design, and construction phase services for wastewater, potable water, and stormwater infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Performs design tasks including computations and analysis for municipal infrastructure including water and wastewater treatment plants, sanitary sewers, lift stations, water distribution, and stormwater facilities.
• Applies engineering principles to develop solutions and evaluate performance and life cycle cost of municipal infrastructure improvements.
• Creates drawings and models following the company's design standards and using CAD or modeling software with limited guidance.
• Assists with the preparation of reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, supporting documents and permit applications.
• Assists with construction phase services for water and wastewater treatment facilities and for sanitary sewer, potable water, and storm sewer infrastructure projects.
• Interprets construction plans and documents for the contractor and client; interfaces with operators regarding potential interference with operations.
• Assists with review of shop drawings, submittals, change orders, punch lists, and contractor as-builts.
• Maintains project documentation, daily reports of construction site activity, project files, RFIs, and submittals.
• Participates in progress meetings and assists in equipment startup and project close-out.
• Drafts correspondence and reports; communicates effectively with project stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned.
