May float to all Sarasota Memorial Health Care System hospital campuses.

Are you an experienced nurse looking for flexibility, variety, and growth opportunities? Our Ultimate Float Team provides skilled, patient-centered care across 20+ units at the Sarasota Campus, with opportunities to float to specialty units such as ICU, SMH Venice Campus, Pediatrics, and Cornell.

Job Summary

As a member of the Ultimate Float Team , you will provide professional nursing care in accordance with ANA and AACN Standards of Professional Practice and SMHCS policies (policy 126.054). This role requires adaptability, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Patient Population & Key Responsibilities :

Patients requiring complex nursing assessment and care, including but not limited to :

• Orthopedic & Trauma Care - Fractures, orthopedic abnormalities requiring surgical intervention, traction application, splinting, and skeletal immobilization.
• Neurological Care - Acute Traumatic Brain Injuries with potential ventriculostomy management.
• Cardiac Care - Titration of cardiac drips (Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, etc.).

Schedule & Shift Availability :

12-hour shifts, 3 days per week

Salary Details :

Hourly rate is determined by years of worked experience as an RN, education level, and internal equity within organization. Minimum rate starting at $32.50, max of salary range is $51.00. In addition to hourly rate, if candidate holds an approved certification position qualifies for certification pay of $1.50.
