A law firm seeks a Trial Attorney in Chicago, IL, to join their team and represent clients in various personal injury cases.

Duties

  • Advocate for clients in court and before government entities.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents for clients.
  • Review and assess drafts of demands and discovery prepared by paralegals.
  • Address client inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Negotiate settlements in legal disputes.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to legal practice.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
  • Minimum of five first-chair jury trials to verdict in the last five years.
  • Access to a vehicle for travel to collar county cases.
  • Proficiency with case management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
