We are seeking a compassionate, Licensed Clinician (LCSW, LMHC or LMFT) to provide support to diverse and underserved populations in a community health setting in Manhattan. This full-time position involves providing behavioral health services to individuals with serious mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance use disorders (SUD), those at high risk of or living with HIV / AIDS, chronic illness, Asians and Pacific Islanders, LGBTQ+, and immigrants.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and reassessments, including diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, including those used in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders.
- Monitor medication effectiveness and side effects, and adjust treatment as needed.
- Participate in health monitoring, crisis intervention, and care coordination activities.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including psychiatrists, social workers, case managers, medical staff, and support personnel.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Active New York state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).1+ years of experience working with diverse and / or underserved population, preferably in a community health center.Fluency in Spanish or one of Asian languages a plus.Ability to work flexible hours.
