Design Process Engineer – Agency Contract
Bellevue, WA | $67–$110 / hour | Onsite | Contract Role
System One is seeking a highly motivated Design Process Engineer to support nuclear plant design engineering process development, oversight, and maintenance. In this role, you will focus on design change control , working as part of a high-performing team of engineers and scientists to coordinate and integrate engineering processes across multiple functional areas.
Responsibilities
- Enforce and maintain engineering processes and standards, with emphasis on design change management and control
- Provide coaching, tools, and training support for engineering teams on design control, configuration management, and related processes.
- Identify, raise, and resolve inconsistencies between procedures and engineering deliverables.
- Support planning efforts and ensure schedule adherence for design and design change activities.
- Apply project and program management techniques to daily work, meetings, and team coordination.
Key Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant engineering discipline with 10+ years of experienceStrong background in integrated nuclear plant design and construction execution.In-depth knowledge of design control tools and nuclear industry design change control practices.Experience spanning the full product lifecycledesign, construction, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning.
Familiarity with ANSI / NIRMA CM 1.0 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B control programs (required).Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of thriving in both independent and team environments.J-18808-Ljbffr
