Job Classification : Full Time Salaried Staff
Basic Function Responsible for conceptualization and application of designed print and digital materials in support of SAIC’s mission, including graphic design, production, and administrative support for recruitment marketing and institutional projects. The Graphic Designer collaborates on design initiatives and supports enrollment marketing strategy and creative projects across departments.
Responsibilities Assist in conception and development of designed projects in print and digital media, including brochures, viewbooks, advertising campaigns, social media graphics, email and web graphics, and direct mailings
Prepare visual concepts, photo-sizing, typesetting, layout and typography, proofing, and production edits under the Director of Enrollment Marketing Projects
Support development of design concepts for undergraduate, graduate, and continuing studies recruitment marketing and other institutional initiatives
Coordinate direct mailings with print vendors, including design file delivery, specifications, and reviewing proofs for on-time delivery
Support project management of design projects; regularly update PM software and participate in team meetings
Attend in-person department meetings and immersion sessions; contribute to strategy development
Assist with photography shoots on and off campus when necessary
Stay current on design software, trends, and marketing strategies

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or closely related field required
Minimum 3–5 years of studio or in-house graphic design experience; freelance work considered
Outstanding portfolio demonstrating print and digital design experience
3–5 years of professional experience with Adobe Creative Cloud; After Effects preferred
Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines
Experience with Keynote and PowerPoint
Knowledge of print production, UX / web design, and vendor management; motion design is a plus
Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking ability, and attention to typography
Strong service orientation and collaboration with designers and interdisciplinary teams
