Open hearts (CABG, Valve, Aneurysms)

Weekdays : 7a–11p

Scheduling & Call

0645–1515, Monday–Friday (8-hour shifts)

1–2 weekdays / week (1515–0645)

CV RNs create their own call schedule as a group

Floating Requirements

Cross-train into other specialties when CV volume is low

Orientation & Dress Code

3–4 days hospital clinical orientation
