Principle Maintainability Engineer (On-site) MI

Our client, a leader in the defense industry, is seeking a Principal Maintainability, RAM, or Logistics Engineer to join their team in Sterling Heights, Michigan. This role requires a highly experienced professional to support the development of maintainability and supportability strategies for complex systems and vehicles.

In this role, you will :

Perform maintenance task analysis, including defining task steps, equipment, tools, time estimates, and personnel requirements

Conduct Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) to determine cost-effective maintenance strategies

Perform Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) assessments

Calculate metrics such as Maintenance Ratio, Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and Maximum Time To Repair (MaxTTR)

Analyze the impact of engineering changes on logistics factors like spares, tools, personnel, and maintenance times

Recommend design changes based on maintainability and supportability analyses

Develop and revise technical documentation and contribute to technical reports or presentations

Required skills and experience :

At least 10 years of experience in Maintainability, RAM, or Logistics Engineering

Significant hands-on experience with SLICwave

Ability to independently perform Level of Repair Analysis, Maintenance Task Analysis, and Reliability Centered Maintenance without additional training

Preferred skills :

Experience with ReliaSoft

Familiarity with OPUS

Education requirements :

A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience through military service
