Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Emergency Department, you will provide patient-centered care through the nursing process, ensuring high-quality service and effective collaboration with healthcare professionals. Our team is dedicated to creating a supportive environment for patients and their families.

Essential Functions

  • Deliver exceptional, patient-centered care in line with organizational policies and the nursing process.
  • Conduct in-depth patient assessments, document findings accurately, and communicate any changes in condition.
  • Administer medications and monitor for side effects following established standards.
  • Support physicians during procedures as per your competencies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions as needed.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and needs, ensuring their involvement in care planning.
  • Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
  • Implement infection control protocols to safeguard patient safety.
  • Monitor and operate medical equipment, ensuring it supports patient care.
  • Participate in audits and compliance checks to uphold best practices.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain clinical competency.
  • Contribute to performance improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
  • Emergency Services RN :
  • Rapidly assess and triage patients, prioritizing care based on severity.

  • Perform emergency procedures like intubation, wound care, and suturing.
  • Implement stabilization interventions, including medication administration and IV line insertion.
  • Other duties as assigned, adhering to all policies and standards.
  • Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of relevant nursing experience or clinical rotations in an acute care setting.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of clinical nursing practices and the nursing process.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and lead thorough patient assessments.
  • Proficient in medication administration and patient monitoring.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Attention to detail in documenting patient care.
  • Understanding of safety standards and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Licenses and Certifications

  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure required.
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support certification required.
  • ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are preferred.
