Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology

Designs and delivers instruction in undergraduate Biology courses offered by the School. Participates in all department, various school, and University-wide committees and activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares lessons and delivers instruction for both lecture and laboratory for undergraduate courses that include Molecular Genetics (BIO 3431), Introductory Biology II (BIO 1420), and a general education science course. | Daily 60%
• Adheres to the established class schedule and office hours on a daily basis. Submits textbook requests, syllabi, grades, assessments, and other required paperwork and reports in a timely manner. | Daily 20%
• Remains knowledgeable of current research activities in the discipline by participating in conferences, publishing, and maintaining collaborative research relationships. | Monthly 5%
• Participates in curriculum and program development. | Monthly 10%
• Participates in departmental, school, and university meetings and academic activities. | Monthly 5%
• Other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair. | As needed
