A company is looking for a Medical Director - Pharmacy - Remote.
Key Responsibilities
Review and approve pharmacist denials for outpatient medication requests and conduct coverage reviews based on medical cases
Collaborate with Clinical Coverage Review staff to evaluate service requests and provide support to nurses and pharmacists
Communicate with network and non-network providers to ensure accurate benefit determinations and educate them on benefit plans
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted physician license
5+ years of clinical practice experience after completing residency training
Substantial experience in using electronic clinical systems
Solid belief in Evidence Based Medicine and familiarity with current medical issues and practices
PC skills, specifically using MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
