What You'll Do
- Lead analysis of complex pipeline operational data and provide expert guidance to schedulers and controllers on pump configuration, DRA injection optimization, and mitigation of abnormal operations or equipment malfunctions.
- Direct major changes and integrations to the SCADA system in coordination with control center specialists and field personnel, ensuring long-term system reliability.
- Review and approve critical operating parameters and station configurations, including PLC logic, set points, and pump operating strategies, applying advanced Management of Change (MOC) practices.
- Ensure operating and maintenance manuals are accurate, comprehensive, and fully aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices. Provide advanced technical expertise in welding standards, tank operations, inspections, and cathodic protection programs.
- Establish program effectiveness metrics, ensure long-term workforce competency, and collaborate with supervisors on evaluation frameworks.
- Provide leadership in project management for large-scale capital projects, from conceptual design and feasibility studies through budgeting, specification development, procurement, execution, and post-construction closeout. Projects include new pipeline construction, rehabilitation programs, and facility expansions.
- Advise on Integrity Management initiatives and regulatory compliance programs, acting as a technical authority for audits, inspections, and day-to-day operational decision.
- Serve as primary liaison with Federal and State Regulators during inspections and compliance reviews, representing the company as a technical expert.
- Champion a culture of safety, ensuring advanced training, program development, and compliance with all corporate and regulatory standards.
What We're Looking For
A bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, electrical, or petroleum engineering with a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in pipeline engineering, operations, or construction, including demonstrated leadership on complex projects.Deep expertise in SCADA systems, communications networks, and control center operations.Advanced knowledge of pipeline automation, PLC programming, and system integration.Significant experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and other engineering design tools.Familiarity with GIS platforms (ESRI, Google Earth, etc.).Additional Eligibility Qualifications
