DEPARTMENT : Production

LOCATION : Schafer Retail Solutions + - 1000 Flag Road, Adair, IA

SCHEDULE : Monday - Thursday (7 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM); some overtime on Fridays

Position Summary :

The Lottery Assembly II position is responsible for p erforming the various tasks required to prepare and assemble multiple parts using different techniques into finished products that are packaged and ready for sale. This position also assembles a variety of plastic products both rotomolded and injection molded for orders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible to follow quality directions from Line Leader or Production Supervisor (visual and feel)
  • Run a variety of power and hand tools (electric and pneumatic)
  • Glue parts for subassemblies or final product
  • Use appropriate jigs and fixtures to bend and assemble parts
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment for self and co-workers
  • Pack product per specification from Line Leader or Production Supervisor
  • Assemble and package parts per specification
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production records and part counts
  • Work in multiple areas within department as time permits
  • Float to other departments as instructed
  • Other duties may be assigned

  • Regularly exposes the employee to fumes
  • Regularly exposes the employee to moderate-loud noise levels
  • Occasionally near moving equipment and mechanical parts
  • Regularly is climate controlled
  • The physical demands while performing the duties of this job :

  • Regularly require the employee to stand, walk, bend, reach and handle multiple tools (electric, hand and pneumatic)
  • Regularly require the employee to lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Regularly require employee to communicate (verbally and written)
  • Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to use and maintain basic equipment
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic math skills
  • Adhere to safety guidelines
  • Maintain safe work environment
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting ability
  • Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Mechanical experience a plus
