We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Shift Welder to join our team. This role involves interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate welding equipment, and performing welding in various positions to ensure high-quality outcomes. Ideal candidates will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts and procedures.
• Select the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Set up components according to specifications.
• Prepare parts for welding using tools such as angle grinders.
• Align and clamp components using measuring tools like tape measures and rulers.
• Perform welding in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
• Repair machinery and components by welding and filling gaps.
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects or inconsistencies.
• Maintain equipment in safe and functional condition.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large open factory / plant floor with dim lighting due to the welding stations. Large overhead cranes are located throughout the building. Each welding station is fairly large to accommodate the grinding that takes place post-welding. The facility is well-ventilated, ensuring a safe and comfortable workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LAKE CRYSTAL, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00 / hr.
